The Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation had an eventful month of May, with several meaningful events taking place. We held our 2nd annual fundraiser, the Love of Life Festival, and awarded our 4th Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Memorial scholarship. Additionally, we gathered to release a lantern in honor of Kathryn's 21st birthday on May 12th.

2023 Scholarship Awardee
Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that Anna Brock, a graduate of the VHS c/o 2023, was the recipient of this year's Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Memorial Scholarship. We are proud to have her as an ambassador for the KLT Foundation and excited to watch her future unfold. This year’s selection process for the scholarship was particularly challenging because, as time passes there are fewer students who knew or were inspired by Kathryn. So, we are committed to keeping Kathryn's memory alive and supporting the causes she was passionate about because we know that by living as she did, reflected through the Love of Life Festival, and by supporting these passionate and artistic students, we are confident that future young people will also be inspired by her.
