Surviving Siblings Summit

The Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who embodies Kathryn’s legacy of love, authenticity, and compassion. Funded by community generosity, it supports students like Sidney Brooks in pursuing their dreams while spreading kindness.

Grief has changed my life, but writing has changed my grief. I am not alone, not because the pain is gone, but because I allowed others to see it and in return they shared with me theirs.
